USCF rated- $35

Registration: 1:00pm - 1:30pm
First Round: ASAP after registration. Late entrants will receive a 0.5 bye. No entry after 1st Round.
Sections: Section 1: Non Rated Open - 5 Round Swiss. G/5 clock will be placed by TD on lagging games over 25 minutes. Max 40 entrants.
Section 2: USCF Open - 5 Round Swiss G/20 d3. Max 30 entrants.

Awards: Section 1: Trophies: 1st-3rd (no ties) . G/5 tiebreak.
Section 2: USCF current members only. Standard USCF tiebreak.
<10 entrants. Section cancelled. Entry fee refunded.
10-20 entrants. 1st - $150, 2nd - $100, 3rd - $50
21-30 entrants. 1st -$300, 2nd - $150, 3rd - $100, 4th - $50
Medals: Each section. Highest scores (w/ties) for each service branch:

Food/Drink: Refreshments provided. Alcohol available for sale at bar.

Details:

• Current USCF membership not required for Section 1.
• 1 day USCF memberships available for $10 for new USCF players.
• American Legion membership not required.
• Chess clocks & tournament chess sets are provided.
• 100% of entry fees will be used for veterans.

Benefit raffle: $5 for 6 tickets. All proceeds to be donated to AL Post 991 Veterans Fund. Prizes so far: Tablet ($75 value), Chess Clock ($35 Value), 2 ICV Chess Manuals ($5 value each). To donate additional prizes, please contact us.
