Roselle Library’s inaugural chess meeting and event

My son and I went to the Roselle library on Thursday, December 7, 2017, for their inaugural meeting. David Sye, who operates the club, supplied sets and a few clocks. He even played a simul against two scholastic kids that were finished early. He is a very nice young man. They are going to have a one round rated game every two-weeks and a meeting on the alternate weeks. This first meeting date was a rated game. Over 10 people showed up and six played rated games while the rest played non-rated games. It was fun for all.

I just moved over to Metro VP for ICA, from being secretary, and plan on visiting several clubs. I encourage anyone who wants to support a new club in the northwest suburban area to come and join the fun. As Metro VP, anyone who wants me to visit their club, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
