Discounted US Chess (USCF) Memberships Available, Reduced-Cost Use of Online Chess Sites Also Arranged

If you are still in high school -- or younger -- and you need a USCF (US Chess) membership, you've come to the right place!

For a limited time, the ICA is offering $9 full-year memberships equivalent to the regular membership (the magazine is available for online viewing). These memberships are normally $22 for high school freshmen and $26 for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Update: Requests must be processed by January 31.

This offering is open to all -- but it is hoped will support the Illinois All-Girls Championship in January, the Illinois High School Individual Championships in February and the 2016 K-8 Championships in March.

Also, if you are (or your child is) an up-and-comer and wants access to over 500 kid-friendly videos and a safe enviroment for playing online chess, ChessKid.com is the place for you.  We'll even give you a 25-page guidebook providing a logical sequence to watch the instructive material. Coupled with a little practice, active ChessKid users have advanced their rating from the low 200's to above 1000 in a few months.

Normally a Gold membership is $48 per year... but the ICA is attempting to provide these accounts for FREE to its scholastic members on a first come, first served basis.

If you were using ChessKid on a trial basis, please provide an email indicating your interest... but hold off for a few days until we can get a head count to determine if there is sufficient interest to continue with ChessKid.

For those a little more advanced, there are $9 junior memberships available to the ICC -- the wonderful site which hosts the fantastically informative Chess-FM videos.
