In the 13-and-under division, Aidan Carey went undefeated with three wins and a draw for a 3.5 result. Aidan is also from Oak Park. Desi Nainar of Lake Bluff had 3.0/4 while 7-year old William Cahill of Wheaton was 2.5/4.

Chicago's Jonathan Lou, 8, was a perfect 4.0/4 to earn the championship in the 8-and-under competition. A pair of six-year olds, Oak Park's Jonathan Schiff-Lewin and Wheaton's Maya Cahill, took second and third respectively.
