Ninth Annual David Mote Memorial Open

Fifteen chess players attended our May 19th tournament, the Ninth Annual David Mote Memorial Open. The tournament was held at the First Congregational Church on Springfield's southwest side, our first time using this site.

Anshul Adve, of Champaign, swept the tournament with a 4-0 score, and won first place. There was a three-way tie for second place, also involving first in Class C-D. Kyle Mayhugh and Jospeh Bean, both of Missouri, and Steven Evans, all had 3 points. Evean Gresen of Springfield, captured first in Class A-B with 2 points. Cameron Walters, of Champaign, and Brian Bourne, of Jacksonville, shared first in class E and below, also with 2 points.

Crosstable.
