Harper College Chess Tournament

3SS G/60; +30 second increment.  USCF Regular Rated.

Two Sections: OPEN and U1700 (Under 1700 and unrated).  1600 - 1699 may play up to OPEN; published USCF Regular Rating determines eligibility.  Unrated players will be placed at TD discretion; sections may be combined at TD discretion.

Schedule: Check-in and Registration 8:00-8:30 am, first round 9:00 am, second round 12:00 pm and final round at 3:00 pm.  Players must check in by 8:30; players who arrive late will receive a half-point bye for the first round and/or be paired with another late arrival or TD. You may take one half-point bye in any round but the last.

On-Site Entries: On-site entry fee is $5, Cash only.

Master and Expert Entries: Masters and Experts play for free. If your USCF regular rating is 2000 or higher, email your name and USCF ID to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by 5 p.m. the day before the tournament to pre-register.

Food:  Vending machines and Starbucks available in the same building.  Subway: two minute walk.

Your Prize: Three games of quality regular rated chess in a congenial atmosphere! (Taken by Evanston Chess Club)

Other information: Bring sets, limited number provided.  Bring digital clocks.
