 September 2: The Naperville Scholastic 6 Tournament in Naperville, IL had three sections and 21 players.  In the U600 there was a three-way tie for first between Vrishank Ramnath, Alexander Novosad, and Vedant Rathi.  In the U900 Section, Daniel Polski went 4/5 and gained 117 points.  In the U1200 Section, Deniz Gulecyuz took first place.  Crosstables.

August 31 to September 2:  The 2013 Annual Illinois Open in Oak Brook had two sections and 139 players.  In the Open Section, Nikola Mitkov and Mesgen Amanov went 5/6 to tie for first place.  In the Reserve Section, Aaron Maney had a single draw to take first place and to gain 95 points.  Crosstables.

September 7:  The September Game-45 Tournament in Skokie, IL had 17 players.  In the Open Section David Franklin took first with 3.5/4.0.  In the U1500 Section, Wisconsonite's Ritika and Divya Pandey tied for first with 3/4 points.  Crosstables.

September 13:  The Feast of the Dragon Tournament in Oak Lawn had 6 players.  Adrian Zolkos took first place with 4.5/5.0 points.  Crosstable.

September 14:  The ChessIQ September Game-60 Tournament in Skokie, IL had 2 Sections and 24 players.  In the Open Section, Dusan Tutush went undefeated, and in the U1500 Section Shashank Bala and Michael Cordero tied for first.  Crosstables.

September 15:  The 93rd Quest Tournament in Northbrook had 86 players.  In the Open Section, Rahul Dhiman took first place with 3.5/4.0 points.  In the U1400 Section, Tom Bareket was the sole undefeated player.  In the U1000 Section, Elijah Platnick and Anton Schuster tied with 4/4. In the U600 Section, Thomas Mitchell went undefeated and gained 116 points.  Crosstables.

September 21:  The Grove Tournament in Barrington had three sections and 55 players.  In the Primary Section Nathan Hiestand went undefeated.  In the Elementary Section, Bryce Vist finished first with 4.5/5.0.  In the Open Section, there was a two-way tie for first with Orlan Smith and Prathik Kandimalla.  Crosstables.

September 21: The 2013 Hobbit Classic in Dekalb, IL had 35 players and three sections.   In the Open Section, Dusan Tutush and S.E. Henderson Jr. tied for first.  In the Reserve Section, Vic Zaderej went 3.5/4.0 for first place.  In the Booster Section, Colton Ewing and Daniel Renauer drew each other in the last round for them to both tie with Paul Schmitt for first place.  Crosstables.

September 21: The Evanston Chess Sept. 2013 3x3 Tournament had 58 players.  In the Gold Section, two players tied for first with 2.5/3.0.  In the Silver Section Edward Zhang went undefeated, and in the Bronze Section, two players, Adrian Villacorta and Adina Bianchi, went undefeated.  Crosstables
