The final round pitted Avinash Rajendra against his sister, Anupama Rajendra, on board 1 for the championship. In a match that came down to the wire, Avinash was able to break through a seemingly drawn position to earn his perfect score. Chess team members from Naperville North High School, Mark Reed and Matt Wu, won the single elimination bughouse tournament that took place during the lunch break.
